Addison Housing Works has received a $10,000 grant from the M&T Charitable Foundation to expand access to safe, stable, and permanently affordable housing in Addison County.

Addison Housing Works, a nonprofit that provides affordable housing to build a stronger community in Addison County, will host a Community Food Drive this Friday, Dec. 5, from 2–4 p.m., at three of its properties.

Proceeds will support AHW’s ongoing efforts to provide and maintain affordable housing throughout Addison County.

The organization 100+ Women Who Care Addison County distributed $17,500 to local non-profits at its Oct. 21 meeting.

I’ve been glad to see robust local coverage of housing issues in the Addy Indy. I’d like to elaborate on a few pieces from last week.

The agency that promotes affordable housing in Addison County presents pieces that represent what “home” means to each of the 26 contributing artists.

As fall advances and many of us are thinking about wrapping up our properties for the season ahead. It’s time to put the garden to bed, patch the porch, and repair that piece of trim under the eaves before the wasps move in to overwinter.
