Addison County Sheriff’s Log for Jul. 3

Deputies in the Addison County Sheriff’s Department assisted a Starksboro landlord with an eviction on June 26. Several cats were found inside of the home after the person left and they were turned over to Homeward Bound.

Between June 15 and 21, the Addison County Sheriff’s Department completed patrols in multiple towns, stopping 37 vehicles for various motor vehicle violations.

The Addison County Sherriff’s Office completed patrols in multiple towns, stopped 21 vehicles for various motor vehicle violations and also logged these activities between June 8-14.

Officers in the Addison County Sheriff’s Department chased James Turner, 35, of Salisbury, into an Orwell pond on May 21 while they were trying to apprehend him.

Addison County Sheriff’s Department Cpl. Robert Wesley was on patrol in Monkton on the afternoon of May 15 when he saw a motor vehicle violation on Hardscrabble Road and attempted to stop the car.

Deputies in the Addison County Sheriff’s Department twice this past week stopped cars going over 80 miles per hour on Route 7 in the southern half of the county.

Sheriff Michael Elmore and three deputies on May 3 participated in “Tip-A-Cop” at Applebee’s restaurant in Rutland to raise money for Special Olympics.
