Have you explored the possibilities at the Makery?
Be inspired!

Maker: Jane Reilly, Middlebury

How long have you been using The Makery?
I used the Makery for a couple of months this spring and summer to complete a project I’d been wanting to do for awhile.

How did you find out about the makerspace?
I saw the t-shirt quilt class on Front Porch Forum, signed up for a Zoom session, and then completed the quilt when The Makery went back to in-person labs.

Why do you enjoy coming to The Makery?
The mentors, Faith and Wendy, are so knowledgeable and kind. It’s also fun to talk to other makers about their projects.

What project(s) have you worked on?
I’ve run many road races over the years and wanted to make a quilt using some of my favorite race t-shirts. It’s done – finally!

Have you needed help from mentors?
Wendy and Faith walked and talked me through the whole process and had some of the supplies on-hand that I needed.

What would you say to people who might be interested in using The Makery?
Definitely take advantage of this wonderful resource! It was so nice to have the support I needed to get this quilt made.
