Greene leads field in horseshoe pitching tourney
BRISTOL — The Sodbusters Horseshoe Pitching Club hosted the World Champions Classic 2021 competition on Sunday. It drew 46 participants to the club’s Bristol courts, including three from out of state.
Gale Greene won the Class A competition with a 7-0 record, pitching ringers more than 69% of the time. Former world champ Brian Simmons pitched 71% ringers but settled for 2nd place with a 5-2 record.
