Ralph Myhre tops Neshobe golfers

MIDDLEBURY — Ralph Myhre Golf Course members recently prevailed in the first leg of this summer’s local club championships by winning the Forbes Cup, doing so by defeating their peers from the Neshobe Golf Club in Brandon.
Ralph Myhre will go for a 2019 sweep on Aug. 24, when they will face members of the Basin Harbor Club with the Addison Cup at stake.
Ralph Myhre women members continued their competitive summers at VSWGA Women’s State Days around Vermont, this time on July 16 at the Proctor Pittsford Country Club.
In Flight 1 Erika Politano recorded a Third Place Gross finish, in Flight 2 Eva Mastalos earned the Fourth Place Gross score, in Flight 3 Giselle Lafleche shot the Fifth Place Net score, and in Flight 4 Kathy Mackey topped the field with the First Place Net result, while Eileen Sims tied for the Second Place Gross result.
In regular weekly action the trio of Tom Maxwell, Joe Thilbourg and Gary Wright prevailed in Bill Davison Thursday Men’s Golf, with the threesome of Deem Schoenfeld, Dave Campbell and Dick Hodgson in second. Thilbourg shot the best net score.
In the Friday Night Mixer, the team of Father Skip Baltz, Will Jernigan and Andrew Perry edged the second-place foursome of Steve Kellogg, Amy Nuceder, Jeff Benton and Wendy Benton.
