Tenny, Merrill win Ralph Myhre tourney

MIDDLEBURY — The duo of Luther Tenny and Steve Merrill prevailed in the top flight of Ralph Myhre Golf Course’s annual Dud Phinney Member-Guest Tournament, which was played July 24-26. 
Tenny and Merrill edged out the second-place team of Nick Bingaman and Jon Neal.
In the second flight, Steve Maier and Jeff Maier won, with Kelly Kelton and Jeff Sherman taking second.
In the third flight, Kris Kelton and Ross Lengyel came out on top, with Brent Raymond and Carsen Sanchez the runners-up. 
In the fourth flight, Kyle and Taylor Kelton finished first, with Andrew Myhre and Dan Myhre coming in second.
In the fifth flight, Neil Mackey and Bart Frisbee paced the field, with Raymond Gale and Eric Leno on their heels. 
In the sixth flight, Dave Campbell and Emily McNamara outcoached the competition, with Raymond Reed and Tom Provoncha in the second position. 
In the seventh flight, Paul Lengyel and Beetle Morgan topped the table, with John Davis and Mike Davis right behind.
In the eighth flight, Mike Bordeleau and Pierre Bordeleau earned the laurel wreath, while Frank Broughton and Adam Broughton settled for second. 
The tournament also featured a number of contests. 
Kirk Goodman and Adam Broughton won the Horse Race, with Donny Dayton and Carsen Sanchez placing second. No word on who showed. 
Sanchez was a double winner; he was also tops in Closest to the Pin competitions, with Randy McFall, Bob Cameron, Jeff Sherman, Kit Wilson, Ross Lengyel, Stan Pratt, Dan Myhre, Joe Bartlett, Campbell and David Holbrook each dropping one tee shot nearest to the flag. 
In scoring for most Moser Daily Points Total, Maier and Maier took the crown on Saturday with 19, and Lengyel and Morgan did so on Sunday with 13.5 points. The overall Moser Point Winners were Maier and Maier with 31.
Hogan Beazley and Chad Hayes tied for medalist honors. 
Hayes also added the title of longest drive winner for competitors 54 and younger, and Mike Adams earned that distinction for golfers of a certain age (55 and up).
