POULTNEY — Frederick W. Davis, 75, of Poultney, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2026, at Rutland Heath and Rehab. Fred was born July 5, 1951, in Bristol, Vt., the son of Alfred and Lila (Aldrich) Davis.
Fred was shop foreman at Goddard Transportation and later drove Tractor Trailer for J. P. Noonan until his retirement. He drove his whole career accident free.
Survivors include his wife, Ellen (Preseau) Davis of Poultney; sons, Dan and wife Kelly (Madigan) of Bennington, Vt., Todd and wife Becky (Gilbert) of Poultney; grandchildren, Joshua, Hallie, Kylie and Zachary; brother, Larry and wife Rita Davis of New Haven, Vt.; and many nieces and nephews.
Fred was predeceased by his brother Robert Davis and sister, Louise (James) Murray.
There will be no public calling hours.
Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m., Friday, Nov. 13, at the St. Raphael Cemetery in Poultney.
