BRANDON — Barbara Quenneville, 82 of Brandon, Vt., passed away peacefully at her home Sept. 10, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family.

Barbara was born and raised in Middlebury, Vt., and later made her home in Brandon, where she built a beautiful life surrounded by the people who meant the most to her. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose family was truly her greatest joy. Nothing made Barbara happier than having her family around her. She took immense pride in watching her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren grow, and she treasured every visit, every conversation, every laugh, and every memory made together.

Barbara had a special love for racing, a passion she shared with her beloved husband, Vincent. Racing became more than just something she enjoyed — it became a part of her family and a tradition filled with countless memories. She was especially proud to watch her son, Vince carries on that tradition, keeping something, she and Vincent loved so much alive for another generation.

Barbara’s heart was always with her family. She loved deeply, cared fiercely, and had a way of making the people around her feel loved and welcomed. Her family will forever remember the little things — the laughter, the stories, the moments together, and the love she gave so freely.

Barbara is survived by her son Vince, and daughter Kimberly, along with her daughter-in-law, Jody Quenneville, and a stepdaughter, Katie Perry; sisters Betty and Carl Bessett, Norma Smith and Nora Stori. She is also survived by her granddaughters, Bobby Jo, Sierra, Alexis, and Madison, and her only grandson, Cale Jr., as well as her great-grandchildren and her nieces Missy Thompson, Suzette Gagne, Carla Noel, and her nephews, Kevin Smith and Michael Palin, as well as many extended family, who brought so much happiness and meaning to her life. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Vincent, her son Cale Sr., her sister Joan Palin, and her parents.

Though her family’s hearts are broken by her passing, they find comfort knowing that Barbara is no longer suffering and has been welcomed home, reunited with the people she loved and missed so dearly.

But Barbara’s greatest legacy will not be the things she left behind — it will be the love she gave. It will live on in her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and in every person whose life she touched.

She may no longer be here to hold our hands, but the love she gave us will never leave us.

Barbara’s love, laughter, strength, and memory will live on forever in the hearts of the family she loved more than anything. Until we meet again, she will be loved, remembered, and missed every single day.

A gathering to remember and honor Barbara will be held at Miller Ketcham Funeral Home Wednesday, Sept. 16, from 5 to 7 p.m.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Thursday, Sept. 17, at 10 a.m., at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Brandon. A private graveside committal service and burial will follow in the family lot, at St. Mary’s Cemetery.

Following the church ceremony, there will be a celebration of life at The Brandon American Legion from noon to 4 p.m. Family and friends are invited to come together, share memories, laughter, stories, and celebrate the life of a woman who meant so much to so many. All are welcome to join the family in remembering and celebrating Barbara’s life.
