The Vermont Principals Association on Aug. 5 recognized Otter Valley Union Middle and High School Principal Michael Ruppel and Associate Principal Karyn Stannard as Principal and Assistant Principal of the Year, respectively.

Rutland Northeast Supervisory Union Superintendent Rene Sanchez was impressed.

“We’re so grateful to have Karyn and Michael on our team at Otter Valley,” Sanchez told the Independent. “Having the Vermont Principals Association recognize their dedication is a wonderful honor for our district, and it really reflects the incredible work happening across our entire school community. We feel privileged to partner with them as they support and guide our students and staff into the new school year.”
