VERMONT — The Addison County All Stars baseball team battled their way through the losing bracket to take the District 1 Title earlier this month. The ages 9-11 All Stars then advanced to the state tournament and came out on top this past weekend, claiming the 2025 State Champion Title  for 11U.

Addison County All Stars is comprised of players from all across Addison County and coached by Dean Butler, Jamie Simpson and Garrett Heyns. This team has worked together to overcome all odds and have earned their spot at the Eastern Regional Tournament, which will be played in Beverly, Mass., this coming week. Facing teams from several East Coast states, the AC club hopes to make state history.

“The Addison County All Stars are proud to represent that state of Vermont at the tournament,” a team spokesperson said.

Game 1 in the Eastern Regional tourney for Vermont will be Monday, July 28, at 2:30 p.m. against the New Jersey state champ, followed by game 2 vs. Maryland’s elite squad.

To offset the travel, lodging and meals costs for the weeklong tournament, the AC team has started a Go Fund Me campaign.

“This is a once-in-a-lifetime experience for these young athletes. It’s the result of countless hours of practice, perseverance, sportsmanship, and teamwork — and now, they’ve earned the incredible opportunity to compete against the best from across the East Coast,” the Go Fund Me organizer wrote.
