Community Forum: Consider a low-sodium approach to snow removal
A PILE OF excess salt left on a sidewalk outside a Vermont business is an indication that more salt will likely get into our streams and rivers, and eventually hurt wildlife and threaten drinking water.

Winter is fast approaching in Addison County, and with the first snow of the season comes the familiar sound of snowplows scraping the pavement and salting the roads to keep them clear.
