Fall guide: Brandon hosts annual fall festival

THIS BRANDON RESIDENT shows us how to make a Leaf Person. Make your own at the Oct. 6 Harvest Festival.
BRANDON — Brandon is going to be in Festival Heaven at the beginning of October when the charming town between Middlebury and Rutland will host its annual harvest fair.
On the first Sunday of the month — the 6th — the Brandon Harvest Fest is back for 2024. The Town of Brandon will host the big event that day between 12 noon and 4 p.m. at Estabrook Park, which is right off Route 7 just north of town.
The fun, outdoor festival will feature pumpkins, leaf people, music, food, vendors and more! Look for something new this year — just like there is something new every year, because Brandon can’t stay still! One constant is Leaf People. The plain, straw-filled beings that are sold bare for $10, which you can then dress any way want, courtesy of the Nifty Thrifty Thrift Shop.
Plus look for baked goods, hay rides, games, picture opportunities in our beautiful Estabrook Park, pumpkins, pony rides, goats, critters, lots and lots of vendors with cool stuff. Shop local with our great people!
A great afternoon with a great bunch of people, plenty of free parking and did we mention that its free admission? Yeah!
