Orwell aims to replace park seats
PEOPLE IN ORWELL are seeking support for a plan to replace 40-year-old picnic tables and park benches, including this one on the town green. The state will commit $27,300 to the effort — if a local contribution of $13,650 materializes.

The town of Orwell has one of most picturesque town greens in the county. The only blemishes on the Rockwellian portrait are the current benches and tables, which are around 40 years old and in rough shape.
