Leicester News for April 27, 2023

LEICESTER — Green Up Day, May 6, is almost here. Green Up bags are available on the shelf between the doors at the Town Office. It is hoped that 100% of the roads will be cleaned of trash.

For more information about how to help and which roads need attention, call Diane Benware at 802-458-7234. A collection trailer will be placed at the town shed the morning of Green Up. Lunch tickets, that double as raffle tickets, will also be available at the town shed that morning. A free lunch for volunteers will be sponsored by the Leicester Historical Society, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Green Up Day.

The Leicester Historical Society will sponsor Prize Bingo on Saturday, May 13, at 1 p.m. at the Senior Center at the Four Corners. Refreshments served and all are welcome.

Animal Control Officer Rob Devoid is conducting a dog census to locate yet-unregistered dogs in town. To avoid penalties and fees, owners should get their dogs registered.
