MIDDLEBURY — Stanley Godfrey went to be with the Lord Oct. 23, 2026, surrounded by his loving family at Helen Porter Rehabilitation.
Stan leaves behind his loving wife, Bonnie; daughters, Lauri (Glen) and Annie (Scott); and sisters, Gloria (Bobby), and Sandra. He also leaves a large extended family of sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews.
Everyone loved Stan’s generous smile and sense of humor. He had a way of making a someone’s day with a little laughter. He had a love of cats Nick and Rocky. He had a love of driving the countryside and could tell the make and model and year of cars as they traveled by him. He loved to color and made the prettiest canvases and gave them away. He will be missed by many.
Stan was predeceased by parents, Beverly and Vera; and a brother, Richard.
A private graveside service will be held.◊
