Kathleen ‘Kathy/Flo’ Palmer, 75, of Vergennes

VERGENNES — Kathleen Palmer, 75, passed away Oct. 3, 2026, at McClure Miller Respite House in Colchester, surrounded by love.

She was born Jan. 25, 1951, in Burlington, the daughter of Donald Kenneth Ball and Leah Mariah Palmer. Kathy was an advocate for and a devoted and loving mother to her son Corby. One of her fondest memories was spending time at the ocean with her beloved Corby. Kathy was a delight to be around, as her smile would light up the room. She was always able to make anyone laugh and feel joy by offering her wit and spunk. She truly was “the life of the party.” Along with her humor and wit, Kathy was a thoughtful and kind person who liked to help others. She volunteered at HOPE in Middlebury assisting those in need.

Kathy was a talented person who crocheted and embroidered, baked and adored cats and birds, especially owls and hummingbirds. “Flo” loved going on road trips whenever she had the opportunity. Kathy is survived by her brothers, Calvin Ball and Marvin Ball.

Visiting hours will be held on Friday, Nov. 6, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Brown-McClay Funeral Home in Vergennes. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to McClure Miller Respite House, 3113 Roosevelt Highway, Colchester, VT 05446. ◊
