For the past ten years, I have had the opportunity to know Ruth Hardy personally and to see her commitment to the people of our community firsthand.
I have gone door to door with Ruth, speaking with constituents throughout our area. What has always impressed me is the time she gives people. She listens. She asks questions. And, in my experience, she is willing to go beyond what is expected to help the people she represents.
I have also seen a more personal side of Ruth’s public service. Year after year, she has taken time from her busy schedule to have lunch with teenage exchange students and personally show them around the Vermont State House. For these young people visiting America from another country, it has been a wonderful introduction to our democracy and to Vermont government.
Ruth has represented the Addison District in the Vermont Senate since 2019. Her background includes public policy, education, budgeting, health care and community service, and she currently serves on the Senate Finance and Natural Resources & Energy committees.
After ten years of knowing Ruth, what stands out most to me is something that cannot be captured by a résumé: the time and personal attention I have seen her give to the people she serves.
A vote for Ruth Hardy is best for Vermont.
