Carmen Q. Cram, 70, of Leicester

CARMEN Q. CRAM

LEICESTER — Carmen Q. Cram, age 70, died unexpectedly Sept. 4, 2026, at Porter Hospital in Middlebury.

Carmen was born in Middlebury Dec. 24, 1955. She was the daughter of Victor and Alice (Condon) Quesnel. She grew up on the family farm in Whiting. She received her early education in the local Whiting school and graduated from Otter Valley Union High School, class of 1973.

She earned her degree, as a paralegal from Champlain College. She began her working career for attorney Karl Neuse in Middlebury and later for the law office of Frank Bunting in Brandon. Following his death she continued as a paralegal for attorney Jeff Smith and attorney Jim Leary, both of Brandon. She was also a 4-H Leader for many years. She was a former member of the Catholic Daughters of America, at Our Lady of Good Help Catholic Church. She was an avid reader and also a photographer for weddings on weekends. She loved spending time with her family and the ocean in Maine.

Surviving are her husband, Bernard Cram of Leicester, whom she married in St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Middlebury, Sept. 10, 1977; three sons, Derrick (Kayla) Cram of Randolph, Nathan (Krista) Cram of Ottawa, Ohio, and Justin (Chelsie) Cram of Brandon; three sisters, Yvette (Malcolm) Walker of Milton, Madeline (Al) Highter of New Haven and Carolyn (Peter) Bearor of Forest Dale; and three brothers, David Quesnel of Vergennes, Paul Quesnel of Whiting and Marcel Quesnel of Ocala, Fla. Nine grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins also survive her.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Friday, Sept. 11, at 10 a.m., at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Middlebury. A graveside committal service and burial will take place at St. Genevieve Cemetery in Shoreham.

Friends may call at the Miller & Ketcham Funeral Home in Brandon Thursday, Sept. 10, from 5-7 p.m.

Memorial gifts in lieu of flowers may be made, in her memory to Brandon Area Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 232, Brandon, VT 05733 or to Addison County 4-H, 23 Pond Lane, #300, Middlebury, VT 05753.
