Stephen ‘Steve’ M. Fallon, 77, of Whiting
WHITING — Stephen “Steve” M. Fallon, 77, passed away peacefully at his home in Whiting Aug. 30, 2026.
Steve was born March 1, 1949, to Richard and Katherine Fallon in Forestdale, Vt. He spent his youth causing mischief with friends and was often found at the ball field. He attended Forestdale Elementary and graduated from Otter Valley Union High School in 1968. In 1968 he joined the U.S. Army, serving in Vietnam until 1970, when he was honorably discharged as an E5 Sargent.
Steve will be remembered for his sense of humor, love for baseball and passion for hunting and fishing.
He is survived by the love of his life of 45 years, Rani Jo (Rice); his children, S. Patrick Fallon (Bari), Stepheni Newton (Josh), and Kimberly Cole (Robert); six grandchildren, Wyatt Fallon (Haylo Swan), Matthew and Grace Cole, Brady Fallon, and Aisling and Finley Newton; and one great-grandchild, Scarlett Fallon; sisters Susan Lester and Shirly Scott (Paul); and many beloved nieces and nephews. Steve was predeceased by his parents, sister Arlene Tebbetts, brother-in-law Peter Lester, in-laws Harley & Elsie Rice, and life-long friends Charles (Charlie) Fredette, Jack Drake and Curt Tindall.
Steve spent his life working as a plumber, retiring from VHV. He also worked for the town of Whiting as the Road Commissioner, where he took pride in keeping the roads safe. He also volunteered as a little league coach for the Whiting Astros.
A celebration of life will be held Sunday, Sept. 6, from 2-5- p.m., at the Brandon American Legion Post 55.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Steve’s memory to Whiting First Response.
The family would like to extend a special thank-you to Larry and Tammy Wilbur for their kindness and support.
Steve leaves behind a lifetime of laughter, stories, friendships, and memories that will be treasured by all who knew and loved him.◊
