Bobcat Cafe and Brewery closes

BRISTOL — Bristol’s Bobcat Cafe and Brewery has closed for the foreseeable future.

The team announced in a July 29 social media post that the restaurant would close “until further notice due to a private medical matter.”

“This is a family situation that needs our full attention, and we ask for your privacy and understanding,” the post reads. “We don’t yet know what the future holds, but we know how grateful we are for this community.”

Brothers Christopher and Jon Ruggiero have run the Bobcat since February 2025, when they purchased the restaurant from longtime owners Erin and Sanderson Wheeler.

“Thank you for your support over the last 18 months, it has been an honor to serve you. And to our incredible staff: thank you for your hard work, heart, and dedication. This restaurant wouldn’t have been what it was without you,” the post states. “We’ll be in touch if and when we have news.”
