Nellie Ann Foley, 85, of Leicester
LEICESTER — Nellie Ann Foley, age 85, passed peacefully, following a long illness, July 18, 2026, at Rutland Healthcare.
Nellie was born in Middlebury April 4, 1941. She was the daughter of Henry and Vera (Nichols) Gregoire. She grew up in the Brandon area, where she received her early education and had attended Brandon High school. June 14, 1958, she married Edwin “Peanut” Foley in Leicester, where they raised their family. She enjoyed crocheting, cooking and family gatherings.
She is survived by her daughter, Sherry Jamros and her husband Richard; two sons, Edwin D. Foley Jr. and his wife, Beverly, and Timothy Foley and his partner, Kelly Duprey; four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and several cousins. She was predeceased by her husband July 24, 2016, and was also predeceased by a son, Donald Foley.
A graveside committal service and burial will take place, July 30, at 11 a.m., in the family lot, at Brookside Cemetery in Leicester.
Memorial gifts in lieu of flowers may be made in her memory to Brandon Area Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 232, Brandon, VT 05733.
