CRAYTON BEDFORD

ASHEVILLE, N.C. — Crayton Bedford died June 27, 2026, of congestive heart failure. Born Oct. 10, 1934, to Ward and Molly Bedford, he spent most of his young life in Vermont, on the family dairy farm, and spent his summers on Lake Champlain.

Crayton was a Renaissance man, scholar, educator, philosopher, mentor, deep thinker, artist, tai chi student and teacher, musician, therapist, reader, writer, foodie, cook, and lover of life.
