MIDDLEBURY — The Addison County American Legion Baseball team made it a three-game winning streak with a double-header sweep of Champlain Valley Union over the weekend.

The first game on June 27 ended 3-1 and the second 12-8.

Before that, AC defeated its Franklin County counterpart, 9-2, on Thursday, June 25.

Up next for the local American Legion team was another round with Franklin County on Thursday, July 2, this time away. Then they’ll play a pair of away games against Montpelier, who Middlebury defeated 10-5 in their home opener, on Sunday, July 5. The team will hit the road again on Tuesday, July 7, that time bound for South Burlington.
