Monkton News: Support the library by volunteering for the Strawberry Festival

MONKTON — It’s time for the Russell Memorial Library’s annual Strawberry Festival and Book Sale! Join in on the fun at the library on Sunday, June 28 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. for delicious strawberry shortcake and other goodies, all served with a smile. Browse through the wonderful selection of books to find just the right ones to take home for a bargain price. The strawberries are locally picked. If you would like to volunteer to help pick strawberries or to sort books this year, call the library at 802-453-4471 during the hours of 3 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday and Thursday evenings or 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. Leave a message if there is no answer.

This annual fundraiser is an important part of the library’s functioning and continuing activities, so your support is greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance for your patronage.
