Playoff hockey returns to Kenyon Arena with historic Panther doubleheader
MIDDLEBURY — Playoff hockey is back — and it’s bigger than ever. This Saturday, Feb. 28, Kenyon Arena will host its first playoff doubleheader in more than seven years as both the Middlebury College men’s and women’s ice hockey teams take the ice on home turf.
The men’s team kicks things off at 1 p.m., followed by the Panther women at 4:30 p.m., making for a full afternoon and evening of high-stakes hockey.
The fourth-seeded Middlebury men will take on the fifth-seed Wesleyan in the NESCAC quarterfinal. The Middlebury women’s team is top-ranked in the league and will take on No. 8 Trinity.
With playoff intensity, home-ice energy, and two teams fighting to advance, this is a can’t-miss moment for fans and families alike.
This historic doubleheader is more than just two games — it’s a celebration of the program and the community behind it.
Panther hockey fans are excited to see a big turnout.
“Now’s the time to pack the stands, bring the noise, and show our teams what home-ice advantage really means,” their no. 1 supporter said. “Let’s fill the arena, rally together, and support our athletes as they chase playoff success.”
