Swimmers rally around teammate in cancer treatment
ANDERS PIRRUNG, 13, a Ripton resident and longtime member of the Middlebury Aquatic Club, is a leukemia patient. On Oct. 17 in the Middlebury College pool his teammates and coaches staged a Swim For Anders fundraiser that to date has netted more than $10,000 for his treatment and his family’s related expenses.

The Middlebury Aquatic Club collectively swam more than 59 miles to support their teammate Anders Pirrung, 13, who is undergoing treatment for leukemia.
