Purinton family gathers for 149th reunion

THE PURINTON FAMILY gathers for its annual reunion in 2003, one century after the unveiling of this monument honoring their predecessor, Chase Purinton. Chase first settled in Lincoln in 1803, and many of his descendants still live in the area.

When Chase Purinton first arrived in Lincoln in 1803, he might not have imagined his descendants would continue to gather annually in that same corner of Addison County over two centuries later. But that’s exactly what has happened.
