Letter to the editor: Anderson studio debut show a hit
Last Saturday, Feb. 8, the Town Hall Theater really upped its game with the grand opening of the Doug and Debby Anderson Studio, part of the major expansion that solidifies THT as a major Vermont arts center. Doug Anderson created and directed this stunning show, titled the “Great American Lyricists,” performing some 23 famous Broadway show tunes, sung by six of our own well-known soloists, including his wife, Debby.
What a glorious, beyond words moving occasion, set in a brand-new magical setting facing west with the evening clouds and setting sun making for a perfect natural backdrop. It was a uniquely Doug Anderson well-perfected event, attended by a room full of those committed to exceptional musical occasions. It does take a community working together to really sing!
