Bristol Police Log: Woman cited on in-state arrest warrant
BRISTOL — Bristol police on Dec. 2 responded to suspicious activity on Adirondack View and after investigating the situation, arrested Megan Amoroso, 36, of Brandon on an in-state arrest warrant as well as for possession of stolen property and operating a vehicle without the consent of the owner.
Between Dec. 1 and 14 Bristol police completed 32 foot patrols and five car patrols, conducted nine traffic stops, and checked security at Mount Abraham Union High School 13 times, at Bristol Elementary School 14 times, and at local businesses five times.
Police also processed 15 fingerprint requests, verified one vehicle identification number, helped one person get into their locked vehicle, conducted two welfare checks and facilitated the return of one lost dog.
In other activity last month, Bristol police:
- On Dec. 1 received a shoulder bag found on Main Street.
- On Dec. 1 responded to an assault on West Street. Investigation is ongoing.
- On Dec. 2 responded to a noise disturbance on South Street and warned the people involved.
- On Dec. 4 responded to a motor vehicle complaint on Airport Drive and warned the driver.
- On Dec. 4 received a debit card found on West Street and contacted the owner.
- On Dec. 4 received a harassment complaint on Prince Lane. Police are looking into it.
- On Dec. 6 assisted Homeland Security investigators on Route 116 North.
- On Dec. 6 received a social media complaint on Pine Street. Investigation is ongoing.
- On Dec. 6 conducted additional foot patrols in the Main Street area during the Bristol Chocolate Walk.
- On Dec. 7 received a theft complaint on Prince Lane. Police are investigating.
- On Dec. 7 received a report of a theft from a vehicle on Main Street, and opened an investigation.
- On Dec. 9 responded to a vehicle stuck in the roadway on Stoney Hill Road.
- On Dec. 10 received a report of an unknown person stealing a wooden “Bristol Bakery & Café” sign from Main Street. Anyone with information on the incident is asked to contact Bristol police at 802-453-2533 and cite incident 24BR003595.
- On Dec. 10 assisted a community member with transportation.
- On Dec. 10 responded to a motor vehicle complaint on Airport Drive.
- On Dec. 11 helped someone obtain transportation.
- On Dec. 11 responded to an animal complaint on Vincent Drive.
- On Dec. 11 enforced parking violations on South Street.
- On Dec. 11 responded to a motor vehicle crash on Main Street.
- On Dec. 12 assisted Mount Abraham Union Middle/High School with a truancy concern.
- On Dec. 12 took a motor vehicle complaint on Mountain Street.
- On Dec. 13 responded to East Street for a report of a suspicious vehicle. The vehicle was gone when police arrived.
- On Dec. 14 responded to West Street for a dog at large. Police identified the owner, returned the dog and issued a warning.
