Monkton news for Oct. 24
MONKTON — On Thursday, Oct. 24, join in with others at the Russell Memorial Library for the last class in the Plant Medicine series — Winter Health Medicine Cabinet with Julie Mitchell. This class is limited to 12 people so you must register to attend. Call the library at 802-453-4471 or email [email protected] to register or stop by. Cost is $30 in either cash or check to Julie Mitchell. You will learn to prepare herbal cough syrup, fire cider and decongestant teas to support the immune system through the winter months. The class is from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Julie is a Registered Herbalist AHG.
Join in on the fun with the 802 Homeschool Group on Friday, Oct. 25, from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Local homeschool families can share ideas and resources plus tell stories, play games and enjoy the bounties of the library.
Don’t miss out on the Trunk or Treat event at the Town Hall parking lot on Sunday, Oct. 27, from 3 to 4:30 p.m. Wear your costumes and celebrate Halloween in town for a safe, fun afternoon. Thanks to the Russell Memorial Library and the Monkton Friends Methodist Church for hosting this event.
