Letter to the editor: Noise is related to critical, storm-related repairs

To my neighbors in “The Woodlands” Middlebury,

While shredding branches left in the wake of the last storm, I was approached by one of my neighbors stating that he was getting noise complaints from some of the neighbors.

He would not disclose the persons complaining, why they were complaining to him, nor give me advice on what we should do to alleviate the issue.

There are three trees that need to be cleaned up and a shed that needs a new roof caused by a tree falling on it. There is also one of my neighbor’s large trees, half down, leaning over my property which will need to be cleaned up once it comes down.

I am working within the town noise ordinance and will continue to do so. There is a small amount of shredding left, the shed repair and the log splitting to do to complete the cleanup. Once done I should be back to an occasional yard cleanup.

I apologize for the inconvenience this work may have caused.
