The 99th season of Bread Loaf Writers’ Conference begins

The Middlebury Bread Loaf Writers’ Conference, the oldest writers’ conference in the country, opened its 99th session on Wednesday, Aug. 14; it will run through Saturday, Aug. 24. Held every summer since 1926 on Middlebury’s Bread Loaf campus in Ripton, the conference remains one of America’s most respected literary institutions.
