Exhibit in Middlebury examines the natural world

'FIRE & WET' by Holly Friesen, 30” x 40” acrylic on canvas, is on view now at Edgewater Gallery at the Falls in Middlebury as part of the “Nature’s Inner Light” exhibit.

“Nature’s Inner Light,” a two-person exhibition featuring new work by Penny Billings and Holly Friesen will be on view Sept. 9-Nov. 15, with an opening reception held on Thursday, Oct. 5, from 5-6:30 p.m., at Edgewater Gallery at the Falls, 1 Mill St., in Middlebury.

“Nature’s Inner Light” brings together two artists whose connections to, and reverence for, the natural world guide their choice in subject. Their approach to color, painting style, technique and composition differ but a passion for the New England and Quebec landscape, unite them in this collection.
