Letter to the editor: City rec department, pool staff made the summer special

Dear Vergennes Rec and all Pool Staff,

I cannot thank you all enough for the generosity and care given to our family this past summer!

As some of you (if not all) may know, Jocelyn and Sawyer lost their father unexpectedly in February. While losing a parent is never easy, it has been eased by the joy and connections that our pool pass and the children’s swim activities have brought them.

My heart is full, watching my children smile and light up every time we come.

Our family is beyond blessed to be a part of this community, and you will never know the depth of your impact on these tiny little souls, including mine. Just know in a very dark and confusing time all of you have helped be a beacon of light propelling our family forward towards a happier future.

“It takes a village to raise a child.”

Thank you, for showing me I am not alone!

Megan Hedley
