Walk on giant Lake Champlain map at Bixby this Saturday

VERGENNES — The Bixby Library is proud to exhibit an accurate, detailed 35-by-25-foot map of Lake Champlain and its watershed. Everyone is invited to come walk on the map and learn about Lake Champlain this Saturday, Sept. 9, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. outside the Vergennes library.

The Giant Lake Champlain Map is an interactive, spatial learning tool designed to inform people of how their home is connected to the lake. The map integrates history, science, geography, and more. The project aims to inspire people of all ages to care for Lake Champlain.’

Bixby officials thanked the Champlain Valley National Heritage Partnership for supporting this project through the Interconnected Waterways Grant.
