MORE THAN 50 Addison County Chamber of Commerce members and staff came to an organization mixer at the new Addison County Visitors Center in the Ferrisburgh/Vergennes train depot this past Thursday.

The center was designed by Shadow and Light Design of Monkton and features an interactive kiosk where visitors can search restaurants, lodging and points of interest in Addison County. Large video monitors and informational displays showcase local arts & culture, as well as recreational and historical attractions. There’s an indoor waiting room for train travelers, and office space upstairs.

The building officially opened on Monday, April 24. “We are excited to be able to operate this showcase for our members and Addison County as a whole,” said Chamber Executive Director Phil Summers.
