DOUGLAS BROWN

BRISTOL — Douglas “Doug” L. Brown died peacefully at his home surrounded by his family July 9, 2022. He was 81 years old.

He was born in Middlebury, Vt., on June 26, 1941, the son of Leon Brown and Alberta (O’Bryan) Brown.

Douglas served in the U. S. Air Force from 1959-1963. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, his job as a truck driver and, most of all, his garden. 

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Sandra (Boyer) Brown; his son Donald Brown; daughter Donna Brown; daughter Stacie Brown; son Kevin Brown and wife Lori (Clark) Brown; his brother Graydon Brown; his grandchildren, Steven, Seth, Vanessa, Victoria, Ashley, Austin, Emma and Kassidy; and his only great-grandchild, Violet. He is also survived by many loving family and friends. 

He was predeceased by his parents, Leon Brown and Alberta (O’Bryan) Brown; his beloved son Steven Douglas Brown; his brothers Richard Brown, Arnold Brown and Allen Brown; and his sister Margaret Brown. 

Graveside service July 29, 2022 at 11 a.m., at Case Street Cemetery, Middlebury, VT. A gathering will immediately follow at Doug’s home in Bristol.
