RANGER, Ga. — Anna Taylor, loving wife of James Sidney Taylor, died at Erlanger Medical Center in Chattanooga, Tenn., on Sunday, Sept. 12, 2021, following injuries received in a car accident. She was born on May 13, 1947, in East Derry, N.H., to the late Harold Deering and Viola Wilson Deering. She is survived by her stepmother, Leola Mitchel Deering. She was preceded in death by her son, Jeffery Taylor.

She is survived by her children, Shana (Mark) Cheeks, Melody (Larry) Gilley, Dawna (Culton Thomas) Taylor, Lena (Mark) Freeman, Quinlan (Narges) Rakin, and Jon (Heather) Taylor; grandchildren, Naomi, Tara, Ashlee, Cadi, Cody, Dylan, Jake, Corinna, Emma, Marnie, Sydnei, Cyrus, Sophia, Anson, Abbi, and Aiden; great-grandchildren, Mark Lucas, Ruby, Rosie, Conner, Melanie, Sophia, Adelie, Lily, Kylie, Brayden, Rawlings, Sheperd, Archer, Penelopi, Noalie, Lyrik, Ansen, Isaac and Zachary; and other friends and relatives also.

She is survived by her Vermont siblings, Merry Ellen (Mike) Duclos, Betty Hutchins, Betty Lou (Leo) Gorton, Clarence (Karen) Deering, David (Debbie) Deering, Chesley (Tina) Deering, Paul (Brenda) Deering, Polly (Mike) Rheaume and predeceased in death by Zilda Deering.

Her family will have a gathering of friends at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home on Sunday, Sept. 19, from 1-4 p.m. In lieu of flowers, a GoFundMe campaign has been created for Anna’s daughter, who suffered major injuries in the accident. Donations can be made at gofund.me/761c3af1     ◊
