Provost joins NBM board of directors

MIDDLEBURY — The National Bank of Middlebury has announced that David J. Provost has been appointed to its board of directors.
Provost is the executive vice president of finance and administration at Middlebury College and plays a strategic role in the overall management of the college. His primary responsibilities include planning, implementing, managing and controlling all financial-related activities, as well as accounting, finance, student financial services, forecasting and strategic planning, and investments/debt/treasury.
He has a long background in finance, previously serving as senior vice president of finance and advancement at Champlain College and before that working many years in the ski and accounting industries.
Provost was born in Northfield, Vt., and grew up in Montpelier. He now lives in Shelburne with his wife of 25 years, Anne, and his three daughters, Samantha, Rebecca and Alyssa. Provost enjoys skiing in the winter and spending time with his family on the lake in the summer.
“I look forward to joining the Bank’s board and to contributing to the economic wellbeing of west central Vermont through such a renowned institution,” he said.
