Horseshoe pitchers throw their first of the season

BRISTOL — The Sodbusters Horseshoe Pitching Club kicked off its 2021 season on Sunday with its Sodbusters Memorial tournament, which drew 48 competitors to the club’s Bristol courts.

Gale Greene won the Class A competition with a 7-0 record and pitched ringers 62.89% of the time.

Sodbusters who competed and their placing (including won-loss record and ringer percentage), were:

Cadets: 4. Ella Roscoe, 0-3, 2.50.

CLASS A: 2. Georgia McCormick, 4-3, 52.96; 4. Brianna McCormick, 4-3, 39.50; 6. Dawn Coleman, 3-4, 34.38; 8. Michael Brown, 1-6, 30.82.

CLASS B: 3. Nate Pelletier, 5-2, 35.22; 4. Jennifer Bassette, 5-2, 34.59; 5. Mistylee Baird, 3-4, 27.30.

CLASS C: 2. Ken Cassidy, 5-3, 24.25; 7. Ron Williamson, 3-4, 22.73.

CLASS D: 1. Matt Coleman, 5-2, 20.78; 3. Juanita Ratta, 3-3, 15.65; 5. Lou Cousino, 3-3, 15.10; 6. Maurice Cyr, 2-4, 14.53.

CLASS E: 1. Vicki Pelletier, 5-0, 27.78; 3. Donna Lewis, 3-2, 10.96.
