Lasek joins CSAC as Associate Medical Director

MIDDLBEURY — The Counseling Service of Addison County (CSAC) has appointed Joe Lasek, M.D., as its Associate Medical Director.
Lasek was most recently the Medical Director for Adult Services at Howard Center and continues to serve as Medical Director for the Vermont Practitioner Health Program. He is a Clinical Assistant Professor for UVM College of Medicine’s Department of Psychiatry and adjunct faculty at Northern Vermont University in their Clinical Mental Health Master’s program. A board-certified psychiatrist, in 2018 he was elected President of the Vermont Psychiatric Association. He has worked with CSAC for more than ten years as an on-call psychiatrist. 
Lasek earned a B.A. from Cornell University and his M.D. from SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, N.Y. He completed his residency in adult psychiatry at UVM College of Medicine. 
“Speaking on behalf of CSAC’s Board of Directors and staff, I’d like to enthusiastically welcome Dr. Lasek to Addison County and the Counseling Service,” says Rachel Lee Cummings, Executive Director. “The level of energy, expertise, and dedication he brings will benefit the residents of Addison County enormously. We are excited to have Joe join our community.”
