Walkover to feature Lincoln photographer’s work

GUINNESS HOUSE, IRELAND, is one of the photographs by Paul Forlenza on display at walkOver Gallery in Bristol through March 27.

BRISTOL — A reception for photographer Paul Forlenza of Lincoln will be held at walkOver Gallery, 15 Main Street, on Friday, Feb. 28, from 5-7 p.m.
The show, entitled “Boats, Barns and more … Images from Ireland, Prince Edward Island and Vermont,” features a variety of Forlenza’s images. Some are archival Kodachrome prints, some archival digital prints and a few are Kodachrome CibaChrome prints with stunning large scale clarity and color.
“As a photographer, my goal is to create images with strong emotional appeal by aligning light, color, texture and timing,” says Forlenza. “I work to make images that call to mind a feeling of place and time.”
The photographs on exhibit are some of Forlenza’s favorites. “The deer reaching for the last morsel of nourishment in knee deep snow, the boarded up old farm house bathed in intense late afternoon sunlight under dark clouds, and the old blue rowboat bobbing at the dock late at night. These all tell real and imagined stories,” he says.
The show runs from Feb. 14 through March 27.
