Locals named field hockey stars
ADDISON COUNTY — Athletes from the Mount Abraham, Otter Valley and Middlebury union high school field hockey teams have received postseason honors from the Metro Conference and Southern Vermont League’s B Division.
Tiger midfielder Lexi Bartlett was the lone player named a First Team All-Star in the highly competitive Metro Conference, which includes the state’s top Division I teams.
Three Otters were named to the SVL B Division All-Star team, goalie Elinor Ross, midfielder/forward Alia Edmunds and forward Brittney Jackson. OV Coach Stacey Edmunds earned SVL B Division Coach of the Year honors, and midfielder Alice Keith received Honorable Mention.
Three Eagles earned Second Team Metro status, defenders Maizy Shepard and Camille Lyons and midfielder/defender Elizabeth Porter.
Two Tigers made the Metro Second Team, defender Lydia Deppman and midfielder Kaitlyn McNamara.
Four Eagles earned Metro Honorable Mention, goalie Kira Murray, forwards Molly Laurent and Txuxa Konczal, and midfielder Maddie Gile.
Three Tigers received Metro Honorable Mention, forwards Phoebe Smith and Ali Seaton and midfielder Lois Alberts.
