Girls’ soccer players named league all-stars

ADDISON COUNTY — Many athletes from the Mount Abraham, Vergennes, Otter Valley and Middlebury union high school girls’ soccer teams received postseason honors.
OV’s Olivia White; Mount Abe’s Grace Harvey, Addy Harris, Savannah Scrodin and Mae Peterson; and Tigers Ivy Doran and Merry Kimble earned Division II All-State honors.
Commodores Emily Rooney, Sophie Hatch and Sydney Weber were named D-III All-State players.
White and teammate Leah Pinkowski were named to MVL B Division First Team All Stars, and OV’s Julia Eastman was named an MVL B Division Second Team All Star.
Rooney was named the Lake Division’s Offensive Player of Year, and Harvey earned recognition as the Lake Co-Defensive Player of the Year.
Seven players from the Lake Division champion Eagles made the Lake Division First Team: Harvey, Scrodin, Harris, Mae Peterson, Becca Laurent, Ellie Ginsburg and Chloe Johnston.
Rooney, Hatch and Weber from VUHS earned Lake First Team honors.
Joining Doran and Kimble from MUHS on the Lake First Team was Hannah Turner.
Three Eagles were Lake Second Team All Stars: Emma Campbell, Sydney Minnerly and Lucy Guy.
Two Commodores earned recognition as the Lake Second Team All Stars: Kate Gosliga and Hannah Kelly.
Four Tigers were named to the Lake Second Team: Zoe Noble, Isadora Luksch, Lia Robinson and Rhys Pitner.
