Panther medals at Ralph Myhre course

MIDDLEBURY — Ralph Myhre Golf Course this past weekend hosted Middlebury College’s annual Duke Nelson Tournament, at which Panther senior Jeffrey Giguere claimed medalist honors with a two-day total of a par 142 (70-72). 
New York University claimed the team title with a score of 589, edging Williams (590) and the Panthers (592).  
Giguere topped the field of 118 golfers with a score of 142, edging Williams’ Will Kannegieser by a stroke. 
Also for Middlebury Phin Choukas and Jordan Bessalel finished in a tie for 15th place at 148. Chris Thompson (152) tied for 36th, while teammate John Mikus tied for 75th at 158.
Also last week Ralph Myhre hosted the annual Middlebury College employee tournament. 
The winning team on the front nine was Shelley Payne, David Larose, Kyle Kelton and Mike Pixley. 
The winners on the back nine were Brent Raymond, Luther Tenny, Dave Campbell and Bob Cameron.
On Wednesday, Sept. 11, the competition included an Employee Scramble. The team of Josh Newton, Dale White, Ric Wheeler and Bert Phinney prevailed. 
In regular Thursday Bill Davidson Men’s Golf the threesome of Jim Dayton, John Davis and Uwe Luksch came out on top.
