Richard Kimball Eitelman, 90, Orwell
ORWELL — Richard Kimball Eitelman, 90, of Orwell died Saturday evening, August 24, 2019, at his residence.
He was born on March 7, 1929, in Schenectady, N.Y., the son of Kenneth and Pauline (Wendalawski) Eitelman.
Mr. Eitelman relocated to Orwell in 1957 where he owned and operated a dairy farm and riding stable for many years. He also owned and operated Dick’s and Glenda’s Beverages in Vergennes until 1990.
He married Barbara Nolan on March 7, 1989.
Mr. Eitelman was a member of the Vermont Trappers Association, the National Rifle Association, and the Lake Champlain Walleye Association.
He enjoyed, trapping, hunting, fishing, gardening, and making maple syrup.
Survivors include his wife Barbara Eitelman of Orwell; 4 daughters, Doreen Rossi and Paula Gallo both of New York, Karolyn Lalumiare of Ferrisburgh, and Kathy Black of Arizona; 4 sons, Kenneth Eitelman of New York, Kimball Eitelman of Washington, Kris Eitelman of Ferrisburgh, and Richard Eitelman of Essex Junction; 2 step-daughters, Laura Andrews and Wendy Andrews both of Waterbury; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
There will be no calling hours.
Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m., Friday, September 6, at the Durfee Funeral Home, 119 North Main St., Fair Haven, Vt. A reception will follow.
