Tiger cross-country 4th in D-2; VUHS boys 5th

The Middlebury Union High School girls’ and boys’ cross-country teams both finished fourth in Division II at Saturday’s state championship meet in Thetford, with Vergennes on the Tiger boys’ heels in fifth. 

Tigers rule NVAC meet

In their final races before the state championship meet, the Middlebury Union High School boys’ and girls’ cross country teams swept the Northern Vermont Athletic Conference (NVAC) small-school championships on Saturday in a meet hosted by Missisquoi.

Area runners vie at Thetford meet

Cross country runners from Middlebury, Vergennes, Mount Abraham and Otter Valley union high schools competed at Saturday’s annual Thetford Woods Run, with the Tiger boys and girls faring the best overall.

The Middlebury Union High School girls’ and boys’ cross-country teams finished second and third, respectively, in Division II at Saturday’s championship meet hosted by Thetford Academy.

The Middlebury Union High School cross-country teams breezed to big wins at the NVAC Small School Championship Meet on Saturday, with Tigers Baxter Harrington prevailing in the boys’ race and Beth McIntosh in the girls’ race to pace the victories. 

Tiger boys run to first at Harwood
