Woodland management education walk on Saturday

Members of the public are invited to take a guided walk in Brandon’s Wolf Tree Forest next week and get a look at on-the-ground conservation practices implemented in the woods there.

Robin Myers, a Family Nurse Practitioner and Medical Director of Community Health Brandon, is a recipient of one of the 2023 Rutland Regional Medical Center Advanced Practice Provider of the Year Awards.

Memorial Day weekend is the unofficial start of summer, marking the beginning of barbecue-and-beach season. But this year’s holiday was marred by tragedy in Brandon.

This performance is loosely based on the scandalous events that transpired in the life of world-famous (and notorious womanizer) composer Giacomo Puccini, told through a contemporary construct. 

The parade will be followed by the town’s historical flower girl ceremony, a recitation of The Gettysburg Address, and a 21-gun salute.
