VERMONT — Could humorous stories about Vermont fish-and-game wardens make for good television?

Hollywood producer Geoffrey Sharp, who grew up in Middlebury, believes it could.

Sharp recently inked a “shopping agreement” with “Vermont Wild” series author Megan Price and will spend the next year pitching the idea to television networks. Price’s five “Vermont Wild” books are a conglomeration of insightful and often-funny stories told from the perspective of Vermont game wardens.

Posted on September 20, 2018 |
By MICHELLE MONROE of the St. Albans Messenger

ST. ALBANS — Better than nothing, but not by much.

That’s how farmers, industry officials and members of Congress are characterizing the Trump administration’s plan to aid dairy farmers hit by tariffs as a result of the President’s “trade war.”

The proposal includes direct relief of 12 cents per hundredweight on half of a farm’s 2018 production, totaling $127.4 million nationwide, and $84.9 million in purchases of dairy products.

Recipe from Meeting Place Pastures

Serves 4

“As we always have a freezer full of beef, it is easy sometimes to end up with meat on a plate for dinner. We are always looking for ways to incorporate a diversity of ‘green things’ into our diet.
