But what he was most recently able to orchestrate — through top-notch grades, community service and perseverance — was arguably the sweetest music he’s ever produced.

MIDDLEBURY — Hunger Free Vermont, a statewide anti-hunger advocacy organization, is engaged in a major lobbying campaign to allow all public schools to stop charging families for breakfasts and lunches during the academic year.

They’re called “universal free meals,” and Addison and Windsor counties are the only areas in the state with zero schools offering such an amenity, according to Hunger Free Vermont Executive Director Anore Horton.

Trent Campbell on the job by Mark Bouvier_6725a (Large).jpg

COLCHESTER — For two decades, Addison Independent photographer Trent Campbell has captured the beauty, personality and excitement of Addison County’s people, places and things.

He’s won so many statewide and regional awards for his work that he keeps them stacked near his desk; the wall in his section of the production department is insufficient to display them all.

And if there were an award for perseverance and courage in the face of adversity, Campbell and his wife, Nikki Juvan, would be odds-on favorites.
